From an early age, Ashleigh Bechtel discovered her love of investing in others and watching them grow. At 15 she trained employees at a local movie theater. In college she was a trainer at a restaurant, taught swim lessons and worked in a preschool in addition to continuous involvement in her community.
After graduating from the University of Arizona, Ashleigh had a successful career with a Fortune 500 Medical Technology company. She has always had a knack for systemizing and efficiency, skills she strengthened during her first two years in Operations where she also gained an understanding of the complete business cycle. She spent the last fourteen years in varying roles in Human Resources in both large, well established divisions, as well as smaller and newly acquired divisions. Her favorite role was as the HR leader for the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa division. The diversity of roles and challenges she has seen have helped her develop solutions to almost any HR problem.
As the president of FireFly-HR, Ashleigh fosters enabling entrepreneurs to ignite their businesses through strategic HR partnership. “I love seeing the light go off and ‘aha’ moments when people just get it,” she says. “One of the goals of FireFly is to give leaders the tools they need and help them be the best versions of themselves.”
In addition to her undergrad degree, Ashleigh also has an MBA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a focus on executive leadership and various certifications.
